Track 11 – Langport Spriggan

POV Change to Aaron

Aaron (narration):

I gathered the rest of the boys to help with information gathering. I wonder if Heiyue is looking into this as well.

Young man A:

Hell yeah, this is just like old times, yeah?

Young man B:

We’ll hit up every restaurant in town and –

Aaron:

Let’s go chat with the receptionist at the hotel, since she sent in the request. And then we’ll form a plan based on what she had to say.

Young man B:

Whao…

Young man A:

You’re 100% Spriggan, now, aren’t ya?

Aaron:

Get your asses in gear, we don’t have all day.

Aaron (narration):

We made it to the Kowloon Hotel, but not without my friends bugging me about the old man and Yingli along the way. Will be nice if we talked about dirty mags instead.

Quick scene to change to Meixin’s restaurant.

Yingli:

Achoo!
Ah.. please excuse me.

Meixin:

Hehe, I think someone is talking about you.

Yingli:

Ah…

Quick scene change to Kowloon Hotel

Fumin:

Welcome to the Kowloon Hotel, how can we help you?

Aaron:

Hey, you’re the one who posted the request, why didn’t you go to the police or the guild for this?

Fumin:

Oh! Aaron! How great it is to see you!
Yes, we had to resort to reaching out to a Spriggan, because the missing tourists are very wealthy guests.

Aaron:

And it will become a PR nightmare if the word gets out.

Fumin:

Yes, and the families wanted to keep this on the down low for the time being, to prevent any further issues.

Young man A:

Why? If I were them, I will let the whole world know if my family went missing!

Aaron:

I am getting the feeling they wanted us to investigate this to see if it is a ransom kind of deal or if it’s something else.

Fumin:

Very astute! Yes, the families had discussed this with the hotel and they prefer to solve this quietly in case the perpetrator harms the missing people.

Young man B:

What do we do, Aaron?

Aaron:

Of course we will take this!

Fumin:

You will? That’s a relief! I will let the families know.

Aaron:

Hey hey, don’t get too excited. Do you know how many people are missing and where they are going?

Fumin:

So far, ten went missing in the past three days.

Aaron:

Shit, that’s a lot of people.

Fumin:

I must clarify that the ten people who were missing were couples, so we have five incidents here.

Young man A:

Couldn’t they have eloped somewhere else or something?

Fumin:

I don’t think that’s the case, all the couples have stated that they will be returning, and all of their families knew about their trip here. The couples did ask me if I’d know of any private date spots.

Aaron:

I might know a few places we can check.

Young man B:

You bring Yingli to those places often?

Aaron:

Let’s save that for later and focus on the request. I have a plan.

Scene change to Meixin’s restaurant
Yingli’s Xipha rings

Yingli:

Ah, Aaron! Is everything all right on your end?

Aaron:

I need you to help me with a 4spg I am working on.

Yingli:

I will be happy to assist you, are you able to wait until we finish serving food to the elderly here?

Aaron:

I am thinking we might have to tackle this tomorrow, come meet me at the theatre when you’re done.

Yingli:

Understood.

Aaron:

See you later, hot stuff!

Yingli:

See you later, Aaron.

Scene change to Kowloon Hotel

Aaron (narration):

I hung up with Yingli and explained the plan to Fumin and my friends. Yingli and I will disguise ourselves as tourists and sus the perp out and get them to lead us to our objectives.

Aaron:

Let’s check out the guy asking for medicine.

Young man A:

You’re a Spriggan chess master now, dude, very cool!

Aaron:

Yeah yeah, we can chat about how awesome I am while putting some steps in yeah?

Aaron (narration):

We found our guy at the Harbour district. He looked like he was tweaking out on something hard.

Man:

A-a-a-are y-y-you you you S-s-spriggan?

Aaron:

I am, and you’re the one who posted the request?

Man:

Y-y-yes. M-my name is Banji. I need m-m-medi-c-cineeeeee.

Young man B:

This doesn’t look good.

Aaron:

Banji, why didn’t you go to guild for this?

Banji:

I-i-i need s-sp-special medicine. I get into t-t-trouble with the guild.

Aaron:

Tch!! This shit has drugs written all over it! Look, we’re not going to be your mule. You’re better off getting yourself clean.

Banji:

I-i-i beg-g-g you.

Aaron:

We’re not getting your drugs, but we’ll at least get you some help.

Aaron (narration):

I had to make Banji stop moving so we could haul his ass over Longkai. I hit a pressure point on his back.

Aaron:

Well boys, let’s bring him over to Longkai’s and have the doc deal with this. We can’t leave him in this state.

Scene change to Longkai’s clinic

Aaron:

Hey doc, can you help us out?

Longkai:

My goodness, another one?

Young man A:

What do you mean?

Longkai:

I have been treating patients with symptoms of drug use and withdrawal for the past few days.

Aaron:

Shit! Are you saying that crap is out on the street?

Longkai:

The possibility is high. I was too busy to even file a report with the police or the guild. Actually, Aaron, can you take care of this? 4Spg, that’s what they are called, right?

Aaron:

Okay. You can count on us.

Young man A:

This is starting to sound dangerous, Aaron, are you sure?

Aaron:

I am not stupid enough to charge into this without back up. Let’s split for the day.

Aaron (narration):

I called up Ashen to lay the situation down on her.

Ashen:

Yes, Heiyue is aware of drugs circulating around Langport. It looks like some of our work lined up with your 4spgs. I’ll see to it you’re supported.

Aaron:

That’s awesome, I’ll stay in touch.

Aaron hangs up with Ashen.
