Scene change to the Eastern Theatre backstage
Aaron (narration):
We got a full house tonight. Some of the audience even set up recording on their Xiphas, I see a few of them fussing over the Orbal network. Yeesh, we’re going on the net!
Yingli:
I’ve never seen the theatre this busy before!
Theatre manager:
Of course it’s busy!! This is the first time our Twin Stars are performing as a unit, all of Langport are just dying to see you and Aaron dance as a pair!
Yingli:
I’m a bit nervous with a crowd like this.
Aaron:
Hey hot stuff, you got this, okay?
Yingli:
Thank you!
Theatre manager:
It’s time. Dazzle them, my Twin Stars!
Aaron:
Stop with the titles already.
Yingli:
Earth guard.
Forte.
Aaron:
You always have to put a shield up so you don’t burn under the lights eh?
Yingli:
Yes. It’s because of my li-
Syd:
Every time you put yourself down, a part of Aaron dies!
Yingli:
Oh! I think we have to take our places!
Scene change to on stage
MC:
Ladies and gentlemen!! Welcome to the debut show of the Gleaming City’s Twin Stars!! Without further ado, here is the featured performance!!
Aaron (narration):
As I entered stage right, Yingli entered stage left, it feels unreal that this is happening. The girls doing Yingli’s make up killed it, she looks just like me in these lights. We did our sword dance number. Yingli is playing my reflection – we are synced down to the second! It feels like I am performing in front of a mirror.
You would have thought I was used to seeing Yingli dance when we practiced this to hell and back, but right now, it felt fucking fantastic seeing Yingli like this with the energy of the audience amping shit up. My girl is gleaming here!
POV change to Yingli
Yingli (narration):
I can’t stop my heart from pounding. It is a dream come true to be performing with Aaron like this! I feel so honoured to be able to dance with him like this! Even though we rehearsed our performance hundreds of times, I am still learning new things from Aaron.
The way he interacted with the energy generated by the audience is truly a wonder, overflowing with elegance and charisma.
Aaron is commanding the stage and the audience’s attention like a stern yet gentle king.
We twirled our swords in the air and did a few more aerial sword tricks before disappearing into a trap door.
POV change to Aaron
Aaron (narration):
We made a mad dash to the light beams. Me and Yingli are on opposite sides of the theatre, perched on the beams. We dropped backwards into the audience with our wires secured. This is hard work, hot stuff over there must be in so much pain. Hah! I have to focus! Yingli is flying around with a big ol smile on her face, looking hot as hell, I’m not gonna mope around either! Gotta give the audience that Aaron Wei magic!
POV change to Yingli
Yingli (narration):
… I hope my stitches will remain intact after this. I will be hearing from Aaron and the doctor if they popped. This is taking more out of me than expected. I must push through! Aaron is flying through the theatre flawlessly with perfect precision, I have to focus!
The music just got louder, Aaron and I drew our swords and swung them elegantly as if we were casting a spell on the audience.
POV change to Aaron and Yingli
Aaron / Yingli (narration):
It didn’t take long for our aerial act to come to an end, our wires pulled us towards the stage. We sheathed our swords and reached out to each other. We held hands as we flew around the stage in slow circles, and slowly descended onto the stage. We drew our swords again to perform the final act in our sword dancing. Flower petals and confetti came raining down as we approached our final sword swings.
MC’s voice:
And so the Fire Fairy accepted who she is, and she embraced her reflection.
POV change to Yingli
Yingli (narration):
Aaron wrapped his arms around me, I can feel his heartbeat against my chest. I am sure he can feel mine. I can feel the stage getting warmer as more and more lights turn on, signaling for us to end the show. Aaron slowly released me and held my hand as we bowed to the audience. I saw all of the kids at the church and the sister in the audience, they were smiling brightly at us. It looked like the tourists we helped were also watching us.
POV change to Aaron
Aaron (narration):
It was fucking incredible!! My girl was flawless tonight! I can see Ashen, Cao, and the other guys in Heiyue in the audience having a good time. Longkai, Syd, and all of our friends are having a blast, too. We bowed to the audience a few times.
Yingli:
…!!
Aaron:
Whoops…
Aaron (narration):
Yingli’s forte ran out of time and the Dragon Bone Salve is giving in. I caught her in my arms and princess carried her on the stage. The audience went fucking wild and my girl is warming up and flustering hard – HOT.
Aaron:
Enjoy this bonus show while you can.
Aaron (narration):
I kissed Yingli and the curtains started to close.
